This is my first time out...AAR here and in the &^%$ there.
Inbound to take out enemy gunboats threatening the Maddox.

I am too wound up to remember to take pictures of the hits/kills, but trust me, they're gone, as the guy taking pictures from the deck will attest.


Headed southeast toward home. Sure seems peaceful here. Fly Navy definitely better than lowcrawl rice paddy in the Army!


Carrier in sight. My buddy that's not so lucky so as to avoid low oil pressure reading gets to land first...


He's safe and sound as we fly formation to his landing...

and finally I get to go around and make it home. My landing was not quite as smooth as his, but I make it first try, which is much more than good enough for me!

Fast forward a few years, and here we are!
