Hi all!

I've made a new cockpit reflection mod for the KA-50. I thought I'd post it here too...

The mod does not cause a performance hit since the texture is the "same" as the orginal.
The mod is best used with Textures set to High in options.

Download here http://www.thomaslee.dk/DCS/dust_and_scratches.zip for the ModMan install

Hope you like it!

Regards
Lee

Quite nice indeed. It looks like it will really add to the immersion. I prepurchased BS, but am still waiting for it to be realeased. Seems like I will be definitely installing your mod when I get the sim.

Looks great, but...

...I would have my crew chief on the ground doing push ups until I was tired for not properly cleaning my windows during preflight.

.

Hey, Hey, this is the kinder, gentler, armed services now ... you can't have them doing push-ups. They might actually get in shape doing that.

Where I work, if you are the pilot, you better get your ass up there and clean the windows, because no mechanic is going to do it! Besides, any pilot that isn't a complete stuck up you-know-what prima donna will do his part to help take care of the aircraft. (Also, even when I was in the Army, if a pilot told me to do push-ups, he'd just get laughed at...probably why no pilot ever tried to pull that crap with any of the mechanics.)

Actually, it would be the crew chief making some poor Joe do pushups if he told him to clean the bird as part of normal maintenance and a filthy window like that went uncleaned.

However, in some environments it's nearly impossible to keep the windows clean.

Pilots rarely speak harshly to maintenance guys; it's usually the other way around (though in the tactful manner of NCO's). The smart pilots make an effort to maintain the bird, as it is endearing to the maintenance guys (who will then go well above the call of normal effort) and educates the pilot on his mount.

Maintenance guys are on the fixing end of things - the pilots are on the breaking end of the equation. Guess which side has the most legitimate gripes?
