hello i didn't know where else to ask this....
i run flanker 1.5 o n my laptop and it runs great, but i can not get the joystick to work.

i know its very probably an issue with using a USB joystick.

does someone know of a fix for this?

here is the symptoms:

joystick is detected within the game and im able to calibrate fine.
but when i get in the plane i have limited range in the y axis and it seems to work erratically, then when i exit to the main menu a message comes saying the "joystick not detected"

thank you

Over the hills and far away.
I have a Saitek X45 joystick but at the moment don't have Flanker 1.5 installed.
Gonna install now and do a little test and report back to let you know, okay.
Best regards, Kodiak.

Over the hills and far away.
Well, just tried and it doesn't work here also.
Stick jumps in all directions!
Like you said probably because our sticks are USB.
Sorry can't help.
Best regards, Kodiak.

Flanker1.5? It is something between flanker1 and 2, or only addon for f1?

Australia... Once Upon a Time
I'm pretty sure no old DOS based or the really old Win95 games support USB joysticks?

I remember trying to play HIND a few years back with my X45 and there was no cure, not sure if anything has changed...

Now there is the big irony....

with Dos Box which is my favorite Dos Emulator, i can play flight sims from 1989 and any old dos games with the joystick just fine.

Hind.... works beautifully in windows xp i meam the win95 version of Hind.

old windows games are a mixed bag, some have problems but can still be played, some dont run at all, but some like Hind work flawlessly in win xp.

I made my Joystick work on F1.5 (only axis, not the rudder, throttle and POV) using Parallel Port Joystick and PPJoyJoy, basically those programs allows you to create a virtual parallel port Joystick from your normal usb joystick.

Install Parallel port joystick and create a virtual joystick
Create a profile on PPJoyJoy and load it (map your usb buttons so that they are replicated by the virtual parallel port joystick)
calibrate the virtual joystick on the control panel (make sure the virtual joystick is the primary joystick, note that sometimes the virtual joystick only works when it's not the primary joystick.. weird)

note that Parallel port Joystick and PPJoyJoy are different applications.

also make sure to download the NTSoundPatch to return the sound to the game, that file is over the web anyway.

hope that helps, cheers.

I had no issues with either of your mentioned titles (HIND, F1.5) using a MSFF2 stick.
