I want to get a collection of people's custom-built retro rig specs to put on a new page on my site. Only post if you made it to play any of the Jane's Longbow series please.

Things to include:
Processor type/speed, memory, graphics card type/megabytage (new word!?), monitor type/size, joystick type/connection, etc.

This machine hasn't been turned on in over 5 years now, but its probably still got my LB2 install on it. Despite the modest specs, trust me when I say that it handled LB2 really well...

Don't remember the mobo manufacturer. It was a dell so probably Intel mobo
Pentium II 450mhz
128MB RAM
Riva 8MB AGP 2x
Windows 98 ME

------------
btw
that was with a Sidewinder precision pro and a 17" CRT. A monstrosity, that...

You had that kind of technology back in the day of retro rigs? I thought my *PII* was cutting edge when it came out :p

Really though, I'm surprised and impressed you get it to run on such a system with such an advanced and unusual configuration (especially a quaddie and x64 Vista).

That makes two of us. Now I figured if Vista x64 can run LB2 it can run anything (except for that LB2 2.209 patch that is) WinkNGrin

3dfx voodoo 3 card
SB16 sound
I still run Dos prog's like ATP, Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe, B17...
It runs LB2, F15, M1 Tank Platoon II,WWII Fighters, just fine.

I let my Flight stick go a few years ago and have regretted it ever since, I use AV8R-01 now but the usb of old does not work well with the games sometimes. I have an ACM card installed for a serial port joystick but don't have that kind of stick anymore.
