EXE Installer FEATURES:
An FS-WWI "Launcher" with all of your FS-WWI essential tools in one spot! In true SDOE fashion, it's mod-able so you can replace any or all of the theme pictures with ones of your own.

Quick Mission Builder which has been updated and tweaked for FS-WWI and the SDOE Control Assignment Editor.

FS-WWI Plane Pack 5 Release notes:
You do NOT need the original copy of Fighter Squadron to be installed on your machine for this stand alone add-on to work.

You CAN NOT have the previous FS-WWI Plane Packs/Patches installed. Please install this fresh to a new directory.

Check the 'Getting the Best' and 'Special Keyboard Commands' readme files for more FS-WWI information after the installation. Be sure to read over the basic Fighter Squadron keyboard commands provided in the FS-WWI\wwi_readme folder or in the Start Menu under 'FS-WWI' named Keyboard Reference.jpg and Keyboard Reference2.jpg.

Be sure to check out the individual readme files in the FS-WWI\wwi_readme folder for credit information about all of the included add-ons.

How to uninstall:
Simply use the uninstall option under Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (Vista users: Control Panel > Programs And Features)

Just downloaded this on my new build, I have plenty of room now. The plane selection is terrific, I am looking forward to flying some missions. Thanks ArgonV!

Just got it all installed, went through all the tweaks and fired it up in scramble. All went great except my throttle isn't seen in the sim. It sees it and works fine in the Controls section, just not in game. In the control assignments editor (Controller Inputs) it runs the full range but unlike the other controls that are at "1" when at rest it reads "-25855" at 0 throttle and "31206" at max throttle. The CH joystick and rudders work perfectly. Must be a setting i'm missing somewhere? It's a CH USB HOTAS running as a singular controller.

Edit - I did try the throttle fix in the tweak guide. My keyboard.inp file didn't have the lines shown, it looked like this -
inpThrottleAnalog = JoystickAxisZ
inpThrottleAnalog = JoystickAxisZ

with neither ";" in front. I just changed them to:
inpThrottleAnalog = JoystickAxisZ : 0
;inpThrottleAnalog = JoystickSlider1 : 0

and now it works perfectly!

Glad you got it sorted. I was going to suggest checking the throttle entry in the keyboard.inp file. There should have been an entry in there, but it might have gotten removed from the Control assignments editor.

I have FS SDoE original game which i have not had on my computer for some time. If i simply download this All-In-ONe (FS-WWI EXE Installer at ModDB) and patch it over the original game will I be all set?

Also can i run this with an Nvidia 7800gtx with 256 meg of ram ?. My system is a pentium 3.2 gig(2 CPU's) 2 gig ram.

Hello!

You don't even need the original game loaded on your PC or in the drive. Just download the All-In-One and the Patch to it from ModDB and install those.

Your PC should run the mod with no problems. I hope you enjoy!

I am downloading the .exe 997 meg .exe file (FS-WWI Plane Pack 5 All-In-One EXE Installer),, but there are 5 other downloads listed at ModDb. which ones do I need? this one FS-WWI Plane Pack 5 ?? or this one FS-WWI Plane Pack 5 Patch v1.0 ? or one of the others?

No real campaign so to speak. There are many diverse mission sets, which you can choose who you want to fly for, and they are all replayable from each perspective.

But give it a try just the same, it's free after all and you don't need the original SDOE CD!

Hello! That's the only stand alone WW2, and even then it's not completely stand alone. The included WWI version is long out of date. A single WW2 installer has not been made yet for SDOE.

I would install first the FS-WWI All-In-One to see if you like it, as it's easier to get up and going.

installed....and all seems to work ok, except occasional freezes
and ctd's. I love the auto-zoom! Wish we had it in EAW.

I have to do some more tweaking with some things....throttle comes
to mind.....Have an X52 stick.....game uses a slider on my throttle instead.
But I read another post about assigning axis...or changing the .app
or something......also need to be able to hear the engine rpm change
with my throttle....read something about that too.

Anyway, installer worked fine. I also ran the patch installer....installed
fine....will read what to do with it later....

Can't see squat from a WWI pit, so padlock is great!
So far, this is excellent!

Hello, glad you are having fun!

Are you running in WinXP? If so, setting Win98/WinME compatability mode on the game launching shortcut will solve a lot of CTD issues.

Also, there should be a SDOE Control Editor that got placed in the start menu that can help you assign the proper axis

In the game, under Options and then Sounds you can choose to link the engine sound with the RPM of the engine or not. Not linking it will have your engine sound change based on the position of the throttle.

I'm also glad to hear the installers worked great! It's wonderful to finally have something available that's easy for the end user to get up and going.

I should mention there is a beta 1.6.0.7 game patch now, but it's not for FS-WWI. I'm hoping to have a FS-WWI version soon, as it fixes many things with the OpenGL32 renderer and adds widescreen support making FS-WWI look really good!

I'm really looking forward to it...
