Fantasy Records in San Francisco wanted $20,000 for Fortunate Son. We chose cheese. We just wanted something to cover a 60-second loading time. Die Valkyrie is free if you can find a version with no royalties owed to the performers.

The "menu" folder has the music WAV files in it - you can either convert your own music to WAV - or there were some music packs at combatace (wov menu sounds by polaski maybe?).

Get hold of a piano reduction of Wagner's opera, access to a midi keyboard/notation programme, and you can recreate the famous passage from Act III in all its Duvallian glory!thumbsup

That's what I listen to.

"We'll come in low, out of the rising sun, and about a mile out,
we'll put on the music... Yeah, I use Wagner -- scares the hell
out of the slopes! My boys love it !"

Personally, I'd go for the prelude to Lohengrin. The conjured image of an apparition (Holy Grail) seemingly sinking to earth................. only to rise once again, out of grasp.

Here's Fortunate Son.

No fee!

Reminds me of Hagar's "Heavy Metal."

"It's your one-way ticket to midnight
Call it
Heavy metal noooiiiizzzzze!"

Big hair all the way. It's great.
