But how about adding a little transparency to the map menu? Looks more modern and it's all the rave nowadays smile

I did a quick experiment with the bottom half of the map icons, what do you think?

Thats real nice Arneh.......but let me ask......how did you remove the black background that exist behind the key icons and the key.psd. Because in the pic above you have removed it. What image file is it? I can turn the key.psd into a full transparency but the black background is still there.Whats the trick? smile

I cheated, I edited the exe :p The problem is that the map isn't drawn all the way to the right side, so I just changed it to draw the map all the way. Then added some icons with transparency on top.

I've always felt the icon system in EECH is too heavy on the graphics with icons constantly tripping over one another. So I minimized a few things. I made the FARP icon easier to see what else is around and underneath it.

And I pared down the unnecessarily icon heavy waypoint system.

I also changed a couple other icons for easier reading like the campaign objective icon.

Thanks LeadPaint for cracking the icon editing system!

I knew something dirty was going on...lol. It looks nice though. Here is one with a little lighting effect. From top to bottom we have static, mouseover, and active.

I can give you a exe with that change if you want to develop a menu with transparency.

Nice work Pudu......the waypoints look good too. Adding the little landing pads around for the farps just makes sense. copter

Love the FARP icon, Pudu. Very well chosen icon. And the new navigation icons. Minimalisticcally perfect.

Transparency is good too.

Not to forget to mention the initiative of it all. Great work, LeadPaint. thumbsup yep
