30-40% faster? Can you pls tell us which core2duo and which core quad you tested/compared? At which speeds (overcocked or not) and at what resolution?

Hey Viks, can you tell us the Quad Cores you were using? Were they the i7's or the older quads like the Q9650?

Thanks

The fire engines and ambulances, will they be able to do their routine work on the airfield?

The fire engine and ambulance move quickly from their parked position to the position of the crashed plane, with the bells ringing. Sometimes the unit's padre carrying a book runs towards a broken plane

You can see that we are hoping that our airfields will be active, busy places with tractors and bomb-trolleys. And who will cut the grass in the summer time Smile2

So, it was Core Quad 9450 @ 2,66 vs Core Duo E6750 @ 2,66

thanks for relply...that quad has 12 mb-s of cache...

but now is the question....Is core quad q9450 easily overclocoked at 3,2 Ghz faster than less expensive c2duo E8500 easily overclocked at 4.0 Ghz? I doubt

EDIT: I would really like to know that yep Smile2

A good question. . .though the one I'm thinking about is how a Q9650 at 4.0GHz would do! thumbsup

Me too.

If the results found by VikS are correct and a 2.66 Quad out performed a 2.66 dual core by 30-4%.
it would suggest that a core quad q9450 overclocoked at 3,2 Ghz could be marginally faster than less expensive c2duo E8500 overclocked at 4.0 Ghz. In terms of RoF performance only.
