Took me 20 tries, but I'm finally carrier qualified in YAP2.

As I pull around for look I see the result of good placement of fragmentation bombs by Oyster 12, following a good pass by Oyster Lead. You can see Trout 12, my wingman, in the distance at my six o'clock, his exhaust trail silouettted against the cumulus.

The Quang Khe Ferry mission is successful and once back on the boat I can report of the P-4 Patrol Boat I destroyed with my 4 HE rocket launches. Then chief will want me to explain why there are a dozen or so 14.7mm holes are in his plane.

Zerocinco told me not to open fire late and low, but I still haven't mastered that.....yet.

Second what Chucky said, and now I'll hand myself the Dipstick award for posting a question in the wrong place which I could have answered by recursing the Yap2 section a little better.

@ .05- please disregard stupid newb posting in the widescreen post.

.......goes out to get kicked upside the head for not being more attentive, silly Sim Jock.

You know, I made the night one on my 3rd try. I think the A4 is easier to handle than the F8.

Well, that would make sense I suppose, given the size of the aircraft. The A-4's were small enough to usefully negotiate HMAS Melbourne's very small flight deck.
