That sounds interesting VikS, can you tell us more and maybe give us an example please? Could an AI flight detect incoming enemy planes and scramble to take off to intercept them?

If you make this in mission - yes the can. Under "make this in mission" i mean - you put few AC`s on this airfield (you actually can make them "disabled" - means they are not visible if there is no player/or target object near them) and give them such orders => if enemy oround =>take off and attack

Thank you.

Not sure in this (read as - cant answer on this right now), but actually we are slower with 32 bit Vista than with XP.

It's great to have someone in the know comment.

Based on what I've heard about Vista, that seems right smile

Thanks VikS this sounds very good

The fire engines and ambulances, will they be able to do their routine work on the airfield?

The fire engine and ambulance move quickly from their parked position to the position of the crashed plane, with the bells ringing. Sometimes the unit's padre carrying a book runs towards a broken plane

You can see that we are hoping that our airfields will be active, busy places with tractors and bomb-trolleys. And who will cut the grass in the summer time Smile2

Guess who just bought a fast dual core cpu sigh "foreheadslap" Replaced my CD6600 with a E8500.

Glad to hear about the good XP multicore performance though, Black Shark seems to be the only game that runs faster on Vista than XP. Everything else seems to be about 20% slower on Vista even in Dx9 mode and then there's Dx10 which is just well.... even slower.

To be honest I couldn't care less for that "active airfield"... Of very peripheral interest to me.

I would love to see those number's, do you have a link?

Cool. Thank goodness I didn't upgrade yet to Vista (although I am tempted because of DCS).

A plea for less content? How bizarre
