Hi guys,

Just a very small contribution.

It's simply the "Altitude mission" comm chatter compiled into a single audio file with some minor changes so that you can have it looping in the background while you fly, inserted into missions, played via Radio Mayak, etc.

Enjoy,
GG

Thats pretty neat.

For loads of english radio chatter to play in the background, check out:

http://www.lazygranch.com/red_audio.htm

They have redflag exercise tapes, some up to 50 minutes long!

You are welcome. From the old LOMAC days.

BTW, dont freak when it seems to lock up on loading, rewriting the sound script file takes quite a bit of time.

Now I have tried tuning in Radio Mayak and can not get it. Just static or silence (with squelch on) on 125.675 AM on VHF-2.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Do I need to be airborne for this to work?

Think you have to delete the sampledurationtable.lua after you insert new sound files, and it will be rebuilt.

Is that the one you mean?

nah, did that.

Thats how I knew it took a long time for the program to rewrite it. I even tried running it with the original files and got nothing. Maybe I will just have to LWI.

Well I do know you have to be within a certain radius of the city (70 km?) to receive their broadcast. Could that be it?

If so, apparently you can create your own radio stations wherever you normally fly. Saw a thread about it somewhere on the ED forums.

Could be.

Do you know where the city is?

Maykop I think? I've seen it before in the mission editor.

It's a big city, just open up the map and scan around for it.

I believe the manual says you have to be within 150km and have to have a direct line of sight. I have also been unable to tune in to it, but then I have no clue where I was flying in relation to Maykop city... I think I'll have another go at it when I get home.
