New over at ED forum:

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=37983

This moves things over so that you don't have to run the off screen monitor. Might fix m-player menu issues and now I can see my stick position/frame rate indicator etc.

Documentaion is skimpy but after you start it, you can click on it (in the sys tray) you can uncheck "script paused" AFTER getting into the cockpit.

Enjoy, Vista users!

man...

this came just in time...

i tested this out on my system spec.

Core Duo E8500
8800GTS G92 512MB
Vista x64
46" Sharp LC46D64U (1920x1080)
20" Acer X203W (864x1124)

i was on multiplayer...i can see fps, and the red box control indicator now with no problems!
starts off at 15fps, then the rest of the time its like 20-30 fps (WITH AFFINITY ON BOTH CORES ON) on the dual core

I tested this as well. The FPS counter does appear now. No change in FPS with or without the phantom monitor, tested with FRAPS. Messages are still split between monitors and comms messages still appear on the second monitor. But, this is step in the right direction. Thanks cypher1312.

The real bonus to me was that the controls indicators was available now. Before it was off screen on the phantom so trimming was more of a challenge than it needed to be since I dont use a FF-stick.

I agree, no noticable FPS change, but I also have a pretty robust machine right now. Changing the affinity on my Core I7 however does boost the FPS in some cases up to 30% with all details on high. BS is clearly CPU limited on my system. When running under a single core, sysmon shows 13-14% utilized; when I enable 3 more cores for BS, the usage jumps to 25 to 30%.

I think this got missed, especially on the ED forum, but you *don't* have to use phantom monitors on Vista, or download someones' exe file they made.

Just use this, i.e. winxmove:

I've been using it for a while on Vista and it works great.

I remember that thread and downloaded that program and kinda forgot I had it. Maybe I'll give that a try.
