Hello
I'm a happy YAP1 customer, but now have some doubts before purchasing YAP2, as can't find what's the point of purchasing YAP2 If you already have YAP1. Can someone tell me the differences or advantages of YAP2 over YAP1 please?

Refueling that works.

New carriers and bunches of new objects. Reworked terrain and trees, water. Crowded decks and taxi ways, tons o' stuff.

Helicopters that fly like helicopters.

New aircraft.

Fun, fun, fun.

Don't forget the environmental upgrades as well, lots of clouds and fog to hide those SAMs!

I want to ask the question backwards: Once I have all of the YAP2 mission sets, will there be any reason to keep YAP1 on my computer?

No. The altitudes are wrong for the clouds. The targets have moved in many cases. Some missions were tossed because they were mixed up stories which made them non-stories. Refueling makes all those long range missions into nonsense. A lot of things were added because we finally had the carriers and the bases. And any carrier mission is now no good because YAP uses two versions of each carrier; launch and recovery. Every single object in YAP1 is in YAP2 unless it has been replaced with something a lot better. And some of the old missions were not very good when compared to what we can do now. So they were either updated or tossed overboard.

I also have a question around YAP1 vs. YAP2 - are YAP1 Missions compatible with YAP2? Why / why not? Thanks!

See the answer just above your question.
