Sorry to have to be the first to report a problem but I`ve downloaded the ISO three times from different links but am still unable to install what I know will be another first class piece of work,which makes it all the more annoying. The error I am getting is:-

Error 1335 The cabinet file `data.cab` required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used.This could indicate a network error an error reading from the CD-ROM,or a problem with this package.

I have several Bootable H/D in my PC and have tried installing on WinXP,WinVista and Win7 all with the same error message.I hope you can help as this version of SDOE is a must for my flight sim H/D.Thanks.

Hello! This is with the ISO only correct? I will test the server tonight. Have you tried downloading the EXE installer to see if that works? The content is pretty much the same, the ISO just has added install features and of course the ability to burn it to DVD.

Fraid not,sorry I did`nt mention that before,the Exe gave the same error.I also tried installing on a completely different PC but with the same results unfortuneately.

Ok, I've downloaded both here at my house and at work, as well as two other PCs. The files for me are fine. Where are you located? And what internet service do you have? It could be that because these are such large files you might be getting disconnected because of your physical location in the world.

I am located in the U.K. out in the sticks admittedly but the exchange is not far away and therefore get good broadband performance from my ISP the Post Office.I have an uncapped service and have not had any problems with previous large downloads.The ISO downloaded size is 1.08gb.A friend of mine who lives about 12 miles from me downloaded the ISO last night and installed it with no problems so I`m going over there this morning to get a copy and try that.Will report later on.

I have uploaded another copy of the file to my personal server here in Texas. Let me know, and I can PM you the link. My server is fast, but being in the UK I don't know what your download rate and connection reliability will be. There are a lot of hops from TX to the UK ya know.

Thanks a lot Argon but I`ve aquired a copy of my mates download and it installed and runs with no problems,the only visible difference between his D/L and mine is the file name,mine being 2009_02_09_FS-WW1_DVD and his FS-WW1_DVD,don`t know if that means anything because I`m dammed if I can spot any other differences,but obviously something strange is happening,fortuneately I did`nt have to resort to pulling on my size twelve hob nail boots to do some computer maintainence.
I have tried to telephone my ISP no hope there of course [this is merry England don`t you know].Perhaps they will reply to my email.If I get any more knowledge on this I`ll let you know in the meantime thanks again an in particular for all your work on this great sim.
