I notice on the YAP 2 web-site that 'practice missions' are available to members.Once I log in I am taken to the mission download section.I can't see the practice missions. Are they yet to be added or do they come included with the game discs?

Regards,Chucky.

I borrowed a book on surgical procedures from my local library today.
Apparently someone's removed the appendix.

I file an AAR on Gila Bend to give some pointers.

Great idea. I've flown the mission several times and haven't found the primary targets yet. Maybe that's just part of the "game" -- or maybe I'm just blind.

They are set into the "autopilot" as far as getting to the range. Of course, you can just look at the Map, too. The targets are up to you to select. Look at the ground, pick something you want to hit, then hit it. The cloud deck is low enough that it will de-select most targets anyway as you pull up to drop again. So, it's up to you to decide.

In reality, they tell you what you are to bomb and how in lengthy briefings for numerous trips out to Gila Bend and back. The Range is a duplicate of the real deal. Some of those targets were for big nuke bombers. You cannot just shoot what you want because there are people out there on the ground.

Is the first training mission designed to be a failure? I never see any primary targets and the debriefing always says that no primary targets were destroyed and the mission is a failure. I realize that it's just a training mission, but I guess I just don't like failure.

Pay no attention to the WOV stuff. It really has no bearing on YAP. We cannot shut them all up because sometime they are relevant. Imagine a recon mission. What exactly would be a success? There isn't one in WOV...they don't shoot. So the success of the mission is not an arcade thing, it is defined by the mission. If you did it, you did it. There's nobody else present.

Got a question about the training mission,

Were can I find some instruction for the weapen systems. Like dive angles, alt and speed..
Being new in de WOV it would be nice to have some weapon deployment directions or tutorials.
