Got mine today also but have not installed it yet. Let us know if it went well, ok?
BTW, in the SimHQ article, they have recommended instructions for the YAP2 install:
--------------------------------
We do highly recommend creating a separate installation specifically for YAP2 as it tends to interfere with the normal operating procedures of the campaign, single-missions, etc. Many of us have mastered the art of multiple installations, and it wasn’t terribly difficult to do it again for this title.
Let’s review that process on how to accomplish a multiple install:
Install the game from the CD, and run the patches included on the YAP2 installation CD. Then, go to the Wings Over Vietnam main folder and rename it. I renamed mine to Yankee Air Pirate 2. Go ahead and run the YAP2 installer now and then delete the desktop icon.
Now, move the Yankee Air Pirate 2 folder to a different, safe location. Be sure to keep track of where you put it because this move will only be temporary. You’re going to eventually have to move it back to the main Third Wire directory.
Re-install Wings Over Vietnam. It may ask you if you want to remove the previous installation. Go ahead and let it. It won’t hurt the Yankee Air Pirate 2 folder now that you’ve moved it. After it’s done "uninstalling", re-install the stock game again.
Move the Yankee Air Pirate 2 folder BACK to the main Third Wire directory. Go into the folder and rename the "WOV.exe" file to "YAP2.exe" and then send it to your desktop as a startup icon.
Now you have two installations of the game that can be started from your desktop, the stock version and the heavily edited Yankee Air Pirate 2 version.

Is this a good way to go?
