I can see flying bombers becoming real popular after witnessing the fine carnage they'll dish out.

Very nice work.

Never seen a better implementation of blast waves. That physic model is simply stunning.

I noticed five things:

1: the landscape and sky colors look here perfectly right, no more violet or "ukrainian green" ;-)
This is just great! Simply REAL!

2: the physics of the explosion blasts look amazing!

3: the damage model of the aircrafts is simply incredible.

4: for the first time in a sim, the colors of the explosion flames are not "Velvia-ish", but "Kodachromisch", not with über-boosted red-orange colors, but real-looking!

5: the grass looks incredibly right, either for the color or the 3d model!

This is so good looking that even for full-real online games extensive external views of the battles going on are needed.

By the way, the ground-pounding aspect of this sim looks so good, that of course troops on the ground are also needed for the ground attack missions.

I forgot, if the explosion sounds are the game sounds, they're too really good, expecially the rumbling.

And I'm quoting myself:

"By the way, the ground-pounding aspect of this sim looks so good, that of course troops on the ground are also needed for the ground attack missions."

Just imagine flying over the enemy trenches in a canon-armed Voisin or in a Roland Walfish.

C'mon guys, amazing as it is.. do not forget to be critical smile

I noticed that the bomb/shell craters dissapear in a couple of seconds! I think I understand why that is; if you would want to simulate a real artillery barrage, thousands and thousands of new objects (craters) would have to be added to the simulated world, which will probably make the game unplayable. However, I do hope that bomb craters (from aerial bombardement) will be visible much longer, or the bombing of an airfield will be a really weird experience!
