Dont think they "explode" persay, just burst into flames then the hydrogen takes over. Then it becomes a huge fireball.Best example is the Airship "Hindenburg" disaster.

FE has been in a bad way for a long time, and I guess the number of posts just became so few as to make it no longer worth while to have a forum here. I just checked the archives, and they are gone too.

BTW, Ade...
I brought up this subject at Coders while thinking of ways to make EAW more immersive.
You might want to add your comment for "Western Front" use. It's at The Gen under Naafi.

Quote:
---With true scramble missions at random times. No warning. Here comes the attack right now, while still in barracks or somewhere. Maybe you are outside and spot the raid and sound the warning. Run like hell to get into your plane and take off, avoiding bomb craters. Try to find a buddy to team up with in the air or lead the hit back as best you can if you are a squad leader.
And so on.
---How about "Guest missions" where you fly your favorite aircraft and skin with other squadrons?

---Operations and Mission Planning. Such as planning your own surprise counter-attack against the dirty rats who just hit your base.
Or maybe you are chosen to 'drop the gauntlet' message over the enemy airfield challenging the enemy to meet at a time and place. Then getting the hell out of there before they catch you.
Or plan for an "under the radar" extremely low-level surprise attack.

Looks good Gibbo..can you send it over for
beta test this end?

Good ideas Woody but I think the scripting
and 3dz work alone would put us all in our
graves m8.

Here you go Ade.

It's missing abot 4 tiles, which I've not finished yet, but there is more than enough for a taster.

http://rapidshare.com/files/262790245/24bit_terrain.zip

Note: there are only 256x256 tiles. I've not made the LR 128x128 tile set yet.
