Hopefully this time Ed will concentrate more on useful aspects and skip useless details, by that I mean avoiding replicating tedious chores and concentrating in improving the 'eye candy' and game play.
By improving gameplay I don't mean giving a dumbed down arcade mode to please 12 year olds.
And what tedious chores would they be?
Which ones can be removed?
What consitutes useless detail?
You have to be careful here as removing those tedious chores and useless detail is what turns a by the book sim into a a dumbed down aracde mode for 12 year olds.
To me those tedious chores are part of the atraction.
I want to start her up and fly her correctly.
Flipping switches to get a missle off is fine - thats what they need to do in real life.
Alternate methods - auto start etc. 1 button weapon set up etc. are fine, I won't use them but others can.
What I do begrudge though is loosing the by book real world bits because someone else doesn't want to learn how to use them.
Let us have full real. You can use the shorcuts and helper modes available - I have no problem with that.
