Welcome to Yankee Air Pirate 2's screenshot bin.

I thought this shot would be appropriate for a first shot. It is from a very small story that a few people used to know. It's about a day when three North Vietnamese pilots loaded bombs onto An-2 bi-planes and attempted to destroy the "secret" bombing control site atop a Phu Pha Thi mountain in Laos before its eventual capture by PAVN commandos. The aircraft were intercepted by an Air American Bell 204 and shot down by a crew member firing an AK-47.
It's just a story and has little substance when presented in mere words. But YAP will put you into that Huey atop Phu Pha Thi on that morning and let you climb up to catch the An-2's. The mission ends when you land back at the helipad (in Laos, that was any flat spot) where you started.
To me, it's our least impersonal air to air mission. You don't have time to think while you are flying. But when you are through, you might. All that amazing war machinery and organization going on all around and way up there in one of the most primitive parts of our planet, this story not unlike the first air to air encounters in the first bi-planes.
