I'd rather see the development team form a new enterprise, out from under the auspices of MS.

That would be impossible - for cost reasons alone : to start from scratch, it would take up to 5 years to get a finished product.

Better than a feeble attempt via a petition to get MS to reverse it's decision. Might as well click your heels together three times...

Better than doing nothing - I did not start the petition, I am just supporting it.

Just signed up #4774. Hey Gromit, there must be thousands of Dorothy wannabes to keep the F22 as well, SimHQ.com has a petition going on to keep that up and running.

I mostly think of those poor guys who lost their job - I only recently joined the FSX community, but I hope the veterans will also want to show their support to the ACES team, futile as it is to expect any results.
