progress has been fluid so those samples are prone to becoming dated very quickly but heres some recent updates from the maintenance tent...

...redid the rudder but headed back to the tail section again, another example of repair mapping seems 2 elements sharing the same pixels, more later on (or maybe not) so catch these while they're up! cheers

Hi Fly Right!

Nice update my old 3Dz-model! yep

I am at home in socket table found my old projects for EAW - two of them was ready in version beta. So am it's sent to Sandbagger:

1) Nieuport 28 C1
USA - 95th Pursuit Squadron, American Expeditionary Corps (AEF). France, 1918.

2) Halberstadt CL.II
Germany -Schlasta 2. Pilot: CO of Schlachtstaffel 2 Oblt. Oscar Bechtle. France, winter 1917 (?).

At present already don't work in any mods for EAW (Sorry). nope
Though will finish still some model for EAW, that are already almost ready (1-1/2 Struttler, Albatros C-1 Nieuport 17C1 and Rumpler C-7).

Newly I am doing mods for First Eagles and Wings over Europe:
My new terrain for Sudetenland 1938 campaign for First eagles, with A-Team's Heinkel He-51A1 with my skin:

After looking at many pics of aircraft, steeples, etc,
I finally see the key.
It's the lighting.
The shadows and shadings make a great difference.
Gibbs has spoken about this several times over at Coder's.
Brit44 has mentioned a switch to DX-9 as an answer to other problems.
Wonder if our lighting would be affected?
But that's probably a massive change.

I think that multiplayer is a must because the entire scenario lends itself to groundstarted missions in real time.
In FE you get the some excellent graphics, but I gave up on it because the multiplayer aspect was absolutely hopeless, many of the flight and damage models were primitive, and there were serious problems with the distance views as far as combat is concerned.
Fortunately that will not be a problem with EAW WW1.

well in that case, heres a spad shaping up...

...only took a few hours using your Aero S.A. which was as deadon for a base 3dz as expected probably still renders as well as the default but detailing it is another matter.

and the fokker has newer damage now, still missing shredded fabric here but with new bullet holes which i'm debating to incorporate into your albatross' since the black sploches conflict with the new zero-out black, all pinks are now a ligitimate color with 24bit camos...

...one downside with using 000 palete, rounded areas like wheels as seen with this pcx wouldn't be so smooth anymore, they'll look like how they're seen in 3dzstudio

of course my debate may go on for another millennium or whatever the current measure is for free eaw moddling time...doesn't seem to be much of a rush around here anyway WinkNGrin

As promised the Se5a project is underway again. The first job is to build the right hand side wing, as I still have the old less detailed right wing. wink
