Nope, better to have some music than some of the other stuff we endure here.

Be that said, I am in a quandary over the crash diving subs.

Here's the problem for those of you not up on the technicalities:

TMODS have 4 different models, H - close, L - distance, D - Damaged and S - shadow.

To make the sub look like it's diving as you approach it you make a full model for long distance viewing and a model that's halfway submerged for close viewing.

As you approach the sub the model will switch from the far view to the near view thus simulating a diving sub.

There are two problems, one minor and one major. The minor problem is that there is no transition from one model to the other so the model "pops" from view to view. The major problem is that if you are targeting the model and you miss it then as you fly away the distance model returns to view. You end up with a sub that seems to be taunting you by returning to the surface when you miss.

To me it's cheesy but I'd like other opinions. Keep in mind that I don't care for the rotating turrets mod nor the rotating prop spinners, either, so maybe I'm too picky.

Tonester - that is too good! Well done mate!

Ray - The diving U-Boat was a gimmick I did seven years ago. Not too seriously.

All these ideas have merit. You never know where a discussion like this might lead.

I'm just wondering what the community at large thinks about something like this. Leave it in or put it aside until it can be developed?

Better something than nothing, Ray.
If we get too picky, we miss out on some fun.
wink
I have learned to my regret that "putting aside" a mod for later development never works out.
We forget it, or forget how we did it.
