Hello all!!

I've been thinking where next to take the FS-WWI mod after we finalize the current All-In-One installer (Still in the works. Waiting on a couple of things).

This next go-around I want to focus more on the ground unit offerings. More WW1 artillery for the British and Germans, as well as more field ground units like small trucks, horse drawn carts and such.

I also want to expand the WW1 navy. There were many battleship types and troop transports used. Also many civilian liners that were converted over to troop transports.

Mossie has offered up some of his models and textures after he wraps up the RS mod for Targetware. His offerings should give us a good jump-start in the ground unit arena of FS-WWI.

I also want to focus more on the WW1 terrains. Albert is the next WW1 terrain needing many updates. Currently I would like to fix the double front lines area at the bottom of the terrain as well as fix the placement of many buildings in the towns and airfields. I also want to replace the bridges with greater detailed models with hi-res textures. As with Somme, I want to add farms, front line fields of battle and balloon bases on both sides of the front.

What else would the community like to see in FS-WWI that has not been mentioned here?

Some people are much attracted to the naval air service, though this might not be an combat active area.

Of tactical and strategic air combat venture would be The First Battle of Brittain with Gotha and Zepplins.

Of pushing the graphics limits for detail and contrast, the Italian Front.

Cowman, currently there is the Tobruk terrain which covers some of North Africa.

There are no Middle East terrains in the works yet however... Some good ideas!!

Thanks, waiting for the all in one installer and then I'm in the air again with this one.

Thanks for all the hard work and effort.

For the future, I would like French artillery, the same as british or german

I would also like in the Somme or other maps, more relief especially in the No Man's Land.

I find the current map too flat.

Actually, along the trench, the ground was far from flat, in part due to natural relief, in part due to man intervention (and especially Mine explosions) : even to these days, the relief due to trench, explosions ... can be seen when driving around there.

A funny aircraft would be the "Caudron R11" (http://www.aviastar.org/air/france/caudron_r-11.php), fun to fly, but imagine also flying a Fokker DVII and trying to intercept Breguet XIV escorted by Caudron R11 !!!

At last, I would like to have a more agressive AI

These are good suggestions!

If a new terrain is built it might be possible to have more 3d craters and such at the front. Currently with Somme it would be too much of a framerate hog.

The Caudron R.11 looks to be an interesting aircraft! It would be a great candidate. Just need someone to build the 3d model and to paint it. I can get it in-game with all of the missions and GUI artwork.

More ground units is exactly what I hope Mossie can help us with in the near future. He has many models that he is willing to let us use.

Sounds very good 5555! We have a Bavaria terrian in SDOE. It needs to be updated for WWI then we could get some Italian skins made for the Nieuports and such. biggrin

Mossie has just sent me a lot of content! New cockpits for the Nieuport 11 and Nieuport 17, many ground units and ships and lastly a German AEG bomber.

These will get scaled, imported and coded by myself and I hopefully will get it all done quickly to go in the upcoming FS-WWI PP5 Patch. After the Patch release I will refocus my work on the Albert terrain and the Bavaria terrain.

Stay tuned!! The fun never ends in FS-WWI!! biggrin
