General Sim Racing: Project 500 Miles - From Sim To Reality
Ace Sim racers David Greco & Bruno Marques are planning to contest the 500 mile kart race at Granja Viana (Brazil). First run in 1997, the 12-hour event has attracted acclaimed drivers like Rubens Barrichello & Felipe Massa and uses karts with special bodywork. David & Bruno’s goal is to get some attention to sim racing, showing that sim racers have real driving talent. More information on the event and the drivers can be found on their website , the guys are also planning to have a painting contest soon. Japan Super GT300 Series - Some good hard racing in the final round of the series at Fuji saw Dan Bailey aka DBR9 secure the title amassing a total of 124 points. Race reports and results can be found here

F1 1979 Series - Ahmad continued his recent domination in the open-wheelers by taking a hard fought win at Kyalami in his Ferrari over the Lotus Cosworth of pole-sitter SteV8. Pierre rounded of the podium in his Williams FW07. Race reports and results can be found here

SimHQ F1 '79 Series
Ahmad took his third win in succession in the SimHQ F1 1979 series at Monaco with a 55 second win in his Ferrari T4 over Felipe Catalan in the Lotus Cosworth followed by Pierre in the Williams in third and Spydoc rounding of the finishers with an excellent fourth in the underpowered Rebaque Cosworth. A massive grid of 17 cars started the race, but the tight twisty track claimed all but 4 cars. Ahmad has a perfect record so far with 3 wins from 3 races in this series, but all the other drivers are champing at the bit to ensure that trend does not continue at Dijon.
