BIG EAW NEWS

The vast library of "Tally-Ho," which serves European Air War, is moving right here to SimHQ.
(Of course, SimHQ's home forum for EAW has been here for many years).

Literally thousands of aircraft of specialized types and squad markings and scores of "scenarios" and "campaigns" (virtually complete games of air conflict around the world) are in the library. Anything and everything was set up for the EAW Community by "Sandbagger" Mike Norris. It runs into gigabytes.
Much is old and quaint, but much coming is new.

European Air War is slowing undergoing basic changes. Using the game's source code with permission from Atari and Infogrames, many developments are in the works. See Knegel's post a space or two above here.
The move should take about a week, we are told.

I'm happy to announce that SimHQ will be the new home for Tally-Ho. Sandbagger will have his own domain address and partitioned area on one of our primary servers, so he -- or you -- will not have to tolerate the nonsense he has had with his previous hosting service.

Hosting Tally-Ho site will be the first step in the re-energized SimHQ downloads area. We are in negotiations with several other sim communities about hosting their files, but I can think of no better place to start than EAW.

Thank you, Guod, SimHQ, and Sandbagger for this very useful gift.
