Everyone remember the great AC-130 Spectre Gunship mission from COD 4? Well, I came across this game called AC-130 OPERATION DEVASTATION last night. It's a tad arcadish but is easy to pickup and a lot of fun. The graphics and music are good for a $20 title. Production values are good and the gunship sights and gameplay are tight. The game has single missions and a full-blown campaign. Timeframe starts with Vietnam and runs all the way to present day. The DEMO mission involves stopping a truck and infantry convoy on the Ho Chi Minh trail circa 1968. The game is published by ValuSoft a division of THQ (the publisher of Company of Heroes). Keep notice that this game is a bit more towards "arcade" than "simulation" but nevertheless it's a very fun game (and more "realistic" than the vast majority of FPS shooters, BTW).

With a name like that, I gotta have it, even if it is a "game," not a sim, as it looks fun.

I think I would buy it if I could get the demo to work. After clicking Try Now I get the ol "AC-130.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."
