The reason I ask is because (unlike in FS9) using a setting of stratus 8/8 overcast doesn't seem to produce a dense minimal visibilty layer of cloud.

Visibility slider wink And you can try using one of the preset weather themes, like "Fogged in" or "Gray and rainy"

Well, less visibility should give your computer a smaller area to work with, so the more fog the better wink
