Black Shark_X52_Profile_V2.pr0

I've come up with an X52 Black Shark profile. It’s not perfect but it is quite usable. I've uploaded the zipped file to www.lockonfiles.com. File is available for downloading here:

http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=237&lid=1310&title=DCS-BS%20X52%20Profile#dldetails

Lobo_63

Notes:
This has not been tested with an X52 Pro.
Twist stick for rudder not used as I am using Saitek Pro Pedals

Trigger 1= Fire gun.
Trigger 2= Release Weapon (For this to work you must go into BS Options>Controls>under keyboard change Weapons Release to Z)
Pinkie= Wheel brake brakes as long as you hold it. (note this is not parking brake)
Hat 2 up= Shkval Narrow View 23x
Hat 2 Down= Shkval Wide View7x
Fire Button= Do Nothing (this is the button under the cover, mine does not work)
Fire A= AP Hover
Fire B= Uncage Shkval
Hat 1= 8 way view
Fire C= Trimmer
Slide on throttle= Zoom view in/out
Rotary 1 button (E)= Toggle helmet sight/NVG
Fire D= PTT (uses “Scroll Lock”key to use TeamSpeak 2)
Rotary 2 Button (I) = Dispense Countermeasures
Mouse Cursor Up= Shkval Up
Mouse Cursor Right= Shkval Right
Mouse Cursor Down= Shkval Down
Mouse Cursor Left= Shkval Left
Mouse Fire= Lock Target
Hat 3 Right= ABRIS Full Screen
Hat 3 Down= Cockpit View Snap 0
Throttle Wheel= Target Gate Size Up/Down
Throttle Wheel Button= Gun Select
Toggle 1= Route Mode On/Off
Toggle 3= Inner Hardpoints Select
Toggle 5= A2A Hardpoints Select
Toggle 2= Descent Mode On/Off
Toggle 4= Outer Hardpoint Select
Toggle 6= Full Cold Start Procedure

Thanks. Yes that is auto hover.

I have just uploaded v3 of this profile to LockOnFiles.

v3 Changes:
- Slider1 mapped to "Zoom View" axis. Slider controlled by the left hand thumb, on the throttle. Allows more precise control of cockpit zoom. Thanks for the tip Hajduk Veljko and USSR Rik! (*see note 3).
- Hat 3 Down remapped to “Center View”. This resolves a stuck zoom view problem in v2.
- Hat 3 Right remapped to “Snap View 2”. Allows simultaneous view of both Shkval and ABRIS displays, and also view of Standby Attitude Indicator.
- Landing/Search light directional control now mapped to throttle via Hat 3 when in MODE 2.
- Landing/Search light On/Off switch mapped to Scroll Wheel Button on throttle when in MODE 2. (**see note 4)

Notes:
1. Twist stick for rudder not used as I am using Saitek Pro Pedals
2. Recommend saving copies of both your X52 profile and your personal Black Shark Controls .lua profile. Go to Black Shark>Options>Controls “Save Profile As” rename it to “myprofile” etc.. You will find this file in your Black Shark folder: Eagle Dynamics>Ka-50>Black Shark. It will be named “myprofile.lua”
3. *Slider Zoom view; For this to work you must go into BS Options>Controls>under AXIS COMMANDS and map “ZOOM VIEW” to X52 “JOY SLIDER 1”) Then select AXIS TUNE and invert.
4. **Landing/Search light On/Off switch; SST software currently does not recognize R Shift as a separate keypress, so in order to use the landing light Landing/Search light On/Off feature as mentioned above you must go into BS Options>Controls>under keyboard change “light landing search On/Retract/Off” to “S + L Shift”)

I only have one mode programmed and no pinkie alternates, completely inside the sim itself except for the mouse button 2/wheel thing. I find that most functions are impossible to know whether they're on or off without going to the switch itself, so I tend to just click in the cockpit. A few things, like flares, decent, wheel brakes, and time acceleration I'm doing by keyboard. Very unlike me to want to do anything by keyboard, but since you have the ARBIS function keys and comm stuff available directly on there already it seems to be working well. Still not totally sure how happy I'd be with all 3 modes and pinkie alternates considering the level of systems details. So much stuff. I also recommend checking out the glovePIE stuff.

Which is exactly why I have tried to take a minimalist approach with the programming. I started with the pics from the manual of the actual cyclic and collective and see what they are using on the real HOTAS. Obviously have to make some allowance for it being a sim ie views, zoom etc. There are many more things that could be programmed into the X52 stick however in real life in a cockpit you are going to be reaching for many controls, switches, etc. For example the landing gear could be mapped to a button on the stick but in real life you are going to reach out and move the selector on the panel up or down, and as such I would rather reach to the keyboard and select the G key.

In my profile the only thing I have programmed in anything other than mode 1 is the landing/search light controls.

Cheers
