Cannon, are any modders working on a BoB campaign to go with your beautiful map? Well, Reflected made a campaign for the beta, but at the moment, no, no-one is making a campaign for the Final version. I'm looking into getting someone to make a few missions to be released with the map, but that's not concrete yet. Joe

Don't stop there Axe there are so many things available to make Il2 ROCK! (you got that ;)) that it will blow-you-away. New smoke, tracers, props, spinners, textures A/C-ground units, clunk, thumps and blam! You will be amazed with the maze Wow, it's like EAW all over again. Do these new mods affect compatibility on getting into an online server? In other words does every have to have the same mods installed?

Yes they can, read what Ming eluded to, there are some that don't believe, nothing wrong with that. I would suggest that you use the AAA servers where there are people that speak in MOD I can't really say firsthand because I don't fly online anymore but, I hurd tings There are plenty of people that can become quite confused on how the stuff goes in the sock (me) but they're also willing to help any way they can. Watch where you query over yonder, they are pretty picky with that. Questions about anything go in the XXX discussion area, but if it's a specific MOD and you need direct help with that MOD the modders are all right there to make sure that you get it up and running, they also appreciate bug reporting as most MODs are W'sIP or BETA sceduled for co-evolution. They're all a pretty good bunch bunch over there and appreciate your enjoyment in using as theirs in making...;)

Axe of the old EAW 78th hereThought so, welcome back Axe. Oh man are you in for a treat it is as atmospheric as back then but with <let's keep this respectful to the old lady> even better flight models, aircraft and that now very realistic world down there both sides of the Channel. Now with the mods I mean. You'll be perhaps struggling with getting your mods going for a bit mate- strongly advised is to make a clean 4.08m install and then to copy that install to another drive or somewhere safe, and then never touch it again except to use as a backup reference install. Then it's only a relatively simple and speedy job to copy that clean copy back in there and start the modding process again. This will make more sense to you when you've found your modding-feetLater this year we can do this all again but with RoF standing in for RB3D I can see it now. Well I DL'ed the Unified Installer 1.0 and Canon's excellent map. Wow!!!:) I will probably uninstall BOBII. (Too bad FB doesn't have it's campaign engine) Back in the day at the peak of the 78th's existence (90 plus members) There were some that flew Jane's WW2 Fighters, where the squad actually began and the new guys like me who were flying the "new" sim, EAW. Never could get along with WW2F personally. The planes didn't fly right to me But I remember wishing our sim "looked" as good as theirs. Great to have a Spit 1 and E4. That used to be one of my favorite EAW match ups. Love the 6DOF support. That was something I really liked about BOBII. Many thanks for the help. X-Man, your simple instructions were killer! Ming, I didn't do a new clean install but I did have an Unmodded 4.08 install that I made a copy of. I'm going to be doing a rig upgrade that will require a clean install in the near future. I still have to follow Ming's instruction on plane sets and improving the already excellent map.Really looking forward to getting online in the HL servers and with my Squadies. Although I don't think any of your FB axis vets have anything to worry about.......yet.;)
S!
