What's your computer setup for Black Shark? I'm looking for ideas for a few months when I graduate from college and hopefully have money to make myself a better setup.

Currently I'm cruising with the Logitech Extreme Pro 3D and my keyboard. The keyboard is on my left and I can barely fit the joystick onto the desk above and to my right. In a week or so back at college I'll take a picture, it's kind of a funny akward setup for flying a helicopter. I still can't fly, but I have a feeling a lot of it is me.

Also does anyone else have issues reading dials and looking at instruments while flying on a 19" monitor? It might be the fact that I have to use the hat and use the other balanced hand to reach for the zoom in and out keys since I can't read stuff at the normal distance. It's a juggling act for sure. dizzy

My Gaming Corner...

I just got the desk, TrackIR, and the X52 Pro all within the last 2 weeks, all just for Black Shark... before BS, I was happy with a single AV8R-01 from Saitek, no need for a TrackIR, or a fancy gaming desk... So my wife hates you Eagle Dynamics! lol wink

(and this is my back up secondary Xbox shown... my main one is in the living room. wink )

SWEET!

(but no room for books or manuals or nothing else with this damn desk.)

My setup. That's a CH Pro Throttle and Fighterstick under those HOTAS covers. I really need a new desk...

My setup is in my SIG. BS runs with everything on high(except water) at 1680X1050. The lowest I have seen is 31fps on a weapons range map at Farp.

Some pictures here. I run with Saitek Cyborg Force stick (ditched the EVO Force). As for rudder pedals I have the Saitek but they don´t fit so have CH USB Rudder pedals on it´s way and a CH flight stick. Unless I go for the lefty HOTAS of course. I get no reply from the guy sadly.

I can understand you cover your CH gear up I guess I will have to do something since I sit in a nixim racecraft GT as seen here. http://forum.racesimcentral.com/showthread.php?t=327108

Hobbit, in reference to your comment about looking at dials . . . I'd recommend a HOTAS that has a scroll wheel like the X-52. When used in conjunction with Track IR 4 (6DOF) you can instantly zoom in on a panel and back out again without having to reach for your mouse.

Any way, my control set-up is:
X-52
G-15 keyboard
Track IR 4

The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.

I have the same thing setup but I just mapped the zoom in / zoom out to the X52's throttle hat
switch. Works like a charm with TrackIR Vector for me.

You don't need the mouse wheel/scroll wheel for that, just assign * and / to 2 buttons in your proffered controller and that's it.
