Reminds me of how they tried to keep aircraft away in WW1 and WW2 with wires and ballons. Now its just horizontal instead of vertical, but just as deadly.

Oh, I've caused more than my share of blackouts for the poor people living around the airfield.
The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events. More dumb stuff at http://www.darts-page.comFrom Laser: "The forum is the place where combat (real time) flight simulator fans come to play turn based strategy combat."

Rider06, if you flew helos in the military, I'd sure like to hear your take on this sim after you've tried it out.

vocatx and AV8R... I haven't purchased the sim yet as I'm waiting for the "box" version, but I have been reading a lot of the boards and watching a lot of YouTube videos... here's my "take" on what I've seen so far: In a word, amazing. My experience base is the AH-64A & D and from what I can tell from a workload standpoint, the KA50 seems to be a very high workload. Obviously, it will be a higher workload because it is single pilot. Lots of "switchology" to make it do what you need it to - but that is true of all older technology. The AH-64D was light years ahead of the 64A when it came to this.
I have been watching the posts on "trimming" with some amusement. The trimming seems to be accurately modeled, as both the AH-64A & D had the stability augmentation system which required frequent trimming, and when I went through flight school I suffered some of the same frustrations until I learned to understand the system, and why it did what it did. After a few hours, it was like second nature.
I'll be happy to report back once the game hits store shelves and I've gotten my grubby little paws on it. I am truly looking forward to this sim! From everything I can tell, ED has done a fantastic job!
