Cool article. Chunx drives oh so much smoother than I do, but at least I can go just as fast as him.

I will be getting out of church late tomorrow so I do not expect to make qualifying. Doug will supervise in my place. Who knows, though; I may get a lap in. In all likelihood, though, I'll probably show up during LMP qualifying. Remember, qualifying is in the dark.

I'm getting that rfactor crash again like Chip and I did 2 tracks ago. Happens randomly. Not sure why, it happens offline as well as online, tried dumbing down the graphics a bit, still didn't make much difference. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. Pity if I crash out, cause it's such a nice track to run.

I'm going to reinstall the graphics drivers and see if that helps, maybe even an older version.

Gutted, like Ian S I was inspired by the original 2.4 Hours of Le Mans race / article - it actually made me get rFactor.

Well that was a huge BUMMER!

REinstalled to the 8.9 ati drivers hoping it would fix the rfactor crash bug (from the newest 8.11's), and barely made it on the server 2 minutes before race start. Was hoping maybe it would have fixed it...

Wrong! Disco'd with an rfactor crash just after finishing the first lap. Major crapola!


Maybe it won't be an issue with the next mod. I was really looking forward to lemans. More troubleshooting in store....



EDIT: Well, I seem to have narrowed it down to the DBR mod. On further testing, it seems my puter doesn't like it. Whenever I loaded it up, with whatever track, seems I'd get a crash. Tried multiple other mods and tracks, no crashes so far. Not sure what the problem was, but hopefully it won't come back. We'll see..
