Latest issue of the UK simming mag PC Pilot has a 5 page interview with Oleg with some very nice screenshots.

In it he confirms that the sim will be a flexible and powerful game engine that will spawn a whole series of add-ons under the title Storm Of War and he expects the sim to last for a minimum of 7 years.

Third party mods will be more flexible but will be stored in their own folders away from the main game so that they can be ignored in online play.

AI will have individual personalities instead of the generic rookie and ace etc.

Expect detailed sounds and weather models. You will play battles and not missions. A battle will be a series of missions played consecutively. You can choose which missions to fly within a battle and damage will carry over from one mission to another. Missions can be loaded automatically or manually and events will be unpredicatble.

Release date? "We're hoping to complete sometime next year".

For the rest of the interview you will have to buy the mag!

To be fair nothing that you have not seen already really just that they look good in a glossy mag!

A shot of the Hurricane over the new wooded landscape. The main shot is a top down of the Spit 1 over the same fields very big and colourful. There is a cockpit shot of the Hurri plus damage models of the Spit and Moth. Some shots of the Sunderland, BF108, Beaufighter, BF110 and JU87 plus a couple of ground vehicles.

I have seen most of these in the forums already but there is a lot more info in the text which for copyright reasons I can't repeat here. Oleg talks about the lengths they have gone into making the models extremely accurate both in looks and flight for instance. There are about 17 Q & A.

I'm guessing these are the old shots we've already seen that are as far as I know actually in the modified IL2 engine and look very much like the upcoming Birds of Prey for consoles or are they actually something new?
