I'm having difficulty getting EAW to work on my machine. I've followed all the advise i could find online. The latest error is Sorry, EAW will not run under Win NT. I am using vista and have a 965 express chipset.

Please help me.

EAW 1.2 will not run under NT.
However, 1.28 will because we disabled the operating system version check. I have a feeling that 1.26E might- Sydbod will be able to give a definitive opinion.

ok 1.28 that got rid of the Win NT message now I have the 7217 message. Please help. Will EAW work with my crappy chipset?

Read the 7217 info and maybe try JIM.
I have no experience with 7217 outside of nVidia cards

Not if it is only using intel graphics , so that depends on your motherboard / i.e. whether it is the subversion G, P, or Q
apparently the G and Q has intel graphics controller
P does not

I see, how do I know which one I have? Also, I managed to get the game working on another computer, but the menu's and briefing room is garbled, any advice?

That's an ATI common problem and as far as I know there is no solution.
However, you can live with the career screen problems as right clicking will give you the options to continue.
For single missions you can set them up with JIMMSNFL and then from the parameters screen load the *.msn file you created using JIMMSNFL.

The word " menu's " implies more than just one screen.
Therefore it looks like all the screens are suffering from tearing problems.
This happens with some of the earlier ATI video drivers.

Get one of the latest video drivers and that problem will be solved.

You will still have garbled problems but only with the briefing screen, and all the other screens will be fine.
