I ask again.. Will these maps be playable in vanilla IL2/1946 4.08/4.09?

No. You will need the AAA Sound mod pack and version 4.09m in order to fly on this map. The reason for 4.09m is that the map uses some of the same textures used by the Slovokia map (at least now it does, that may change later) and those textures are not available in earlier maps. The Sound Mod is necessary for a variety of reasons (some of which I don't understand), but not the least of which is that the map contains textures and objects new to the game and available only in the Sound Mod.

Strictly from a builder/designer's point of view, making the map has been a huge learning experience, and because it is so large a project and taking so long, the knowledge of how to do it and the methods and tools available to us evolve. Many of the early features of the map have been replaced by much nicer components that we didn't know about, or didn't exist, when we started. When one becomes involved in something like this, one's appreciation for the untold hours of work that the original IL2 designers put into the official game becomes much greater.

Amazing to see what a dedicated and talented team can do with the maps!! The attention to detail is overwhelming. It's good to see that you guys recognize the work that has gone into the original maps and tools for it makes your work possible to begin with, but you are lifting the scenery up to a whole new level. Admiration and gratitude towards all the members of the teams!
