So the Miami Dolphins lose their first game (of course) Potential. There was potential. If they quit making rookie mistakes, and get a QB..

-Skater Hey wait. Let me get you a knife so you can twist it. They better shore up the defence as strong as they can. Pats sometimes give up the big play at the wrong time. That can't happen with an offense now missing a Tom Bradyesque quarterback. In all honesty if this is the end I'm still pretty happy with the Pat's acheivements. As a fan we've had a stellar run, and I've enjoyed it. I've sat through 1 - 15 seasons. It sucks, but it's part of the sport. Thanks PM. I hope it's a bit of false reporting that hasn't been fully substantiated, but I can see that being the sort of injury one would expect.

The loss of Brady is devestating. I doubt they'll do better than 9-7 without him. Their defense isn't good enough to win them games or overcome mistakes by the QB. And I'll say what I've been saying ALL pre-season long. THIS IS WHY YOU NEED A VETERAN BACKUP QB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're not going to go to the playoffs with a still un-proven Matt Cassel at QB. They should have gotten a veteran in camp MONTHS ago.
Anyway, some great games around the league with some exciting finishes yesterday. Bucs/Saints went down to the wire. Phins/Jets right down to the final play.
But, nothing matched the excitement of the Chargers/Panthers. I thought the Panthers blew it when they didn't take a timeout with about 20-30 seconds left. But, that was a great play to win it. What a crushing loss for the Bolts. I loved it.

Man, it sucks to be a Patriots fan. Then again, it generally sucks to be me so I don't feel much of a difference Anyway, let's not forget that Brady came out of nowhere and wasn't even supposed to have played that season, so you just never know. BTW, help a Euro-ignorant out here: I saw all the players in the Browns-Cowboys wore some sort of badge with initials or something on it, and I think it was on the field too. What was that about? the GU patch on the player's uniforms and on the field was out of respect for the longtime head of the NFL Player's Association, and Pro Football Hall of Fame player, Gene Upshaw who died recently from pancreatic cancer. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3545830

all i know is it was a crappy crappy day... I had my package, was watching all 3 of my florida teams playing at once, in side by side view... all 3 lost... but the Bucs game was a close one. It was a dark day indeed for Florida football. Oh well, there's always college football.

krise madsen You're not ignorant at all! Heck, I'm impressed that someone who lives in Denmark knows who Tom Brady is! I couldn't name more than 1 or 2 well known European soccer players.

Denver plays tonight... and if we beat Oakland we hold the division lead!.... and it will probably be the last time we do it all season. lol. Though the chargers losing does give me some hope...
All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!

As bad as this sounds, when you put it in perspective, it's hard to feel bad for him. A multi-millionaire, 3 Super Bowl rings, and goes to bed with Giselle. Poor poor Tom.

I'm not a Brady/Pats fan by any measure, but I feel bad for the team. I was interested to see if they could take another stab at history like they did last season.
