Just a quick note to let folks know that I have uploaded a new tutorial to my site: F-15C: Radar Introduction and Long Range Search (LRS). This is an introduction to the F-15C's radar, the AN/APG-63. The goal of this training flight is to introduce you to the Vertical Situation Display (radar scope) and, using the Long Range Search (LRS) mode, to discuss the importance of understanding your scan volume: where it's pointing, and what it's doing. You will also learn to understand and interpret what you might see while in LRS mode. Targeting modes are not discussed. Nor will we be shooting anything down (boring, I know). All that will come in future tutorials. OTOH, I have finally found my way into the F-15's pit.

You'll find the tutorial on the A2A page of my site. Enjoy.

Just what I needed

- I never killed anyone, but I have read a large number of obituaries with great satisfaction.

Thanks guys. I hope to start working on the follow-on F-15 radar tutorial this weekend. Hopefully it'll be ready in a few weeks. I just need to figure out exactly how I want to present things--and in what order.

RSoro01....just wanted to say first off, thanks for the tutorials, and secondly, being a graphics artist myself, very nice website. I really like the layout and graphical UI. Anyways, thanks again!!!!

\:\) Thanks. But I can't take any credit for the website design. All credit goes to Varun Anipindi. He approached me one day telling me, very politely, that my website looked like crap. I forget his exact phrasing but it was something like: "Your material is very professional and deserves a professional looking site." However he phrased it, he's the one responsible for what it looks like now.

BTW, wish you showcased more of your website designs, photos, etc. on your site. I was enjoying looking at them. Ended too soon.

Thanks, I only chose 4 a piece, because of file size, and simply because I don't want to swamp potential viewers with to much at once :). And all I can say is thank god for your tutorials....I am getting way more information out of your .avi files, than running the tutorials....one quick question, will the assigned altitudes for the waypoints be in the briefing before the mission starts so I can write them down? I haven't run any missions yet, I am going through the basics, just got through navigation and basic weapon modes today....
