I dont know who or where to contact the people making the installer so I'm posting here.
When selecting what components to install there is a wrong explanation for the 1.4.1C patch.

Well I have the EU retail and after countless uninstalling and reinstalling I finally checked the box for applying that patch. The game just CTD if you dont apply 1.4.1c before applying the community mods.
I think the explanation should read something like "The is required for the modifications below" or it should be ticked by default.

The game was first released in the UK. It contained bugs, and there was a patch. But before it shipped to the US those bugs were fixed. I.e. the patch was included in the US game.

Therefore should be said that if you do NOT own the US version, the patch should be applied.

There's no harm in installing the patch anyway. I agree with you, that the box should be checked at all time.

edit: Gotcha is the guy who made the all-in-one mod installer. But I haven't seen him in quite a while.
