Great night of flights, again!
The first objective of the missions for this flight night were to take out the two frigates protecting the Onch'on area and to take out the runways at Onch'on supporting the Mig-29 flights launching from there. The second objective was to start attacking some of the infrastructure around P'yongyang and around Wonsan and to continue to remove some of the air defense threats. All objectives were completed successfully. We lost some pilots and air frames on the second and third mission sets but we also managed to take out some very important strategic targets and remove a significant amount of the DPRK power generation capability.

Then main concentration of our ground forces have finally managed to cross the border into DPRK territory. The DPRK forces are very close to defeated. What remains now is mainly infrastructure and air defense targets. Our main ground units have either crossed over or are ready to cross the border region near Kaesong.
The plan is for the first main group near Kaesong to split into two forces. The bulk of the forces will take Haeju where a small group of main battle tanks and MEU's will split off and continue on to Changyon. After the main group takes over Haeju they will then proceed to P'yongyang. The second main group will proceed from the Eastern region directly through Hoeyang and then proceed to Wonsan. Resistance is expected to be extremely light at first with the bulk of the remaining forces around P'yongyang and Wonsan.
Enemy air operations are expected to be very light at this time. The DPRK is running very limited and what appears to be almost suicidal air operations. Almost none of the fighters they launch end up returning to base. We still expect a tiny number of flights from the PRC airbase at Liuhe. Shengyang is still not capable of launching anything at this time an it's doubtful they will be able to in time to help the DPRK forces.

Well people, we had a great turnout again and some great flying. We had a few incidents and weren't able to get in as many flights as the previous week but we've met some important objectives. We were able to take out the airbase at Ong'Jin and route a significant number of remaining DPRK and PRC ground units. Our forces are well over the DMZ and heading towards their objective cities. We're just into the 5th day and very close to wrapping it up.

ROK ground forces have been split into three main battle groups.
The first smaller group consisting of the 2nd and 3rd MEU battalions and the 3rd Armored battalion have proceeded West from Kaesong towards Haeju. Haeju is the first objective with the route passing through Ong'Jin and Tae'Tan with the final objective of Kwa'Il and the city of Changyon. Once Kwa'Il has been taken the forces will remain on station and reinforce. The 1st MEU along with the 1st Mechanized and 4th Armored will provide support along the road to the North heading West to Hwang'Ju.
The second group consisting of the 4 battalions of the 2nd and 3rd MEU along with 2 battalions of the 4th Armored will proceed after crossing the DMZ to Kyom'ni and proceed directly to Wonson taking the main objective of Hoeyang along the way. The group will be supported by elements of the 105th, 106th and 112th Engineering and Supply battalions stationed along the route.
The third and main group consisting of the 4th Platoon, 1st and 2nd MEU, 3rd and 4th Armored, 1st Field Art., 1st and 3rd Lt. Art., 2nd and 3rd Art. and supported by the 97th, 98th, 100th, 103rd, 107th and 108th Engineering and Supply battalions are well on their way to Koksan. After taking Koksan they will proceed West-Northwest to P'yongyang and link up with the second group.
We are within a few hours of completing the campaign and it is imperative that we support the ground units in their push towards our final objectives. The DPRK will do the best they can to scramble any flights they're able to with our ground units in mind. Kwa'Il is still capable of launching Mig-21's with ground attack ordnance and they're still managing to launch a limited number of Mig-29's to harass our air cover.

Woohoo!
Saturday was GREAT. Even though it was only my first time participating in an online campaign and I managed to crater the runway on landing, I had a GREAT time and am hungry for more.
I can only imaging how awesome it would be to play Falcon on a server like WOW where the war is always there, just waiting for you to jump in and take part. I would pay $50 a month for a setup like that, easy!
I am often overwhelmed about everything you need to master to be a good Falcon player and getting to that level of proficiency with my limited amount of free time seems almost impossible but, it was nice to just say screw it and jump on and play. I only wish I could do it more often. It would be great knowing I could do it anytime. I will make a big effort to be there every Saturday from now on.

I plan on joining you gentleman again but I've been too busy lately with these summer Satuday nights. I'm going to try to join next Saturday because this Saturday we have a festival to attended that needs my beer drinking skills.

Something you could do before the next mission Striker is send a couple of U2 flights over Wonsan and about 50-60nm north of Koksan, so we can recon those areas and see if there are any more Infantry battalions heading towards Koksan. That's a good idea. I'll do that before we saddle up for this coming Saturday. I'll send some others to the North and West as well.

So for this week, I should practice with CBU and Mavs?
I heard mention of changing burst altitude on CBUs to 1500'.
Any other pro-tips you guys wanna pass on?

I also uncage all of the mavericks on the way to the target while I have plenty of time.
Does that mean you are stepping through each missile and popping of the covers that protect the seeker heads?

Striker: If your going to send one to the west then, send it over to check out Onchon as well and see if it will show up those engineers (and how many) that we suspect are repairing that airbase.
We might be able to take them out then. You know that is so strange because Eugene flew over the airbase for that last mission and didn't see any engineering units. Intel did not make any changes in the picture yet they were able to bring the base back to 20% within an hour and launch again. There must be some hidden in the trees.
