I posted this information before, but mixed in with some other stuff, so it may of gotten lost.
I've been trying to organize gameplay for the old, classics like Ghost Recon, Raven Shield, and SWAT4. I started a STEAM User Group titled "Old School Co-op (OSC)", we have 4 members so far, but the last two scheduled events no one showed. (GR then RS). This coming Thursday is SWAT4.
This user group is just that, there is no "clan rules' like mandatory training, mandatory attendance, etc etc... just simply must play the old school classics, in co-op mode, and know how to work and play as a team, and with basic real world tactics.
If interested, even if only interested in one of the games instead of all three, and you have STEAM, look for our user group and join in. Announcements and schedules are posted there. Don't worry, if you don't have or use Steam, then I will post the announcement in the forum also, so you can still join and play. (But of course STEAM users will have priority.)
We mainly rotate, (currently with no mods), Ghost Recon (and the 2 official expansion packs, Gold), Raven Shield (and it's 2 official expansion packs, Gold), and SWAT4 (with the SS expansion, Gold).
Hope to start seeing some more classic action.

OK I joined the group and will try to show up for the SWAT4 event if it is still going on by the time I can get online (usually around 9:30-10 pm Eastern).

Well what usually happens, at least on the last 2 schedule events... I sit in TS all alone, waiting for others to join, if no one joins within 30 mins I leave to go play something else, with someone else... so if there is a later or different time, then let me know in advance, and I'll try and make the schedule/arrangement change. Right now it's usually every Thursday that we run a classic.

Noted! Unfortunately, with the dictates of family life, and kids bathtime/bedtime schedules, somewhere between 9:30-10pm is usually when I manage to get online. So, if nobody shows at 8 and you want to try checking in later, I will try to be around. Maybe I can strongarm Eugene in as well, though he doesn't like SWAT4 much (and I'm not sure he has TSS). We have actually been having fun in Swat3 lately!

Magnum, I think you set up the GR and RS events when I was on vacation. I'm back. I don't have SWAT 4 anymore and didn't much like it, but I played Raven Shield online on Ubi.com for FIVE HOURS today and SIX HOURS yesterday (Saturday).
Recluse, Eugene, Striker and those guys haven't been around for RS/GR lately. I hope they come back to it. Raven Shield online is like crack and I seem to be addicted. Rarely do Ubi servers play the stock maps. Most are modifications, some so spectacular they are completely new maps. Some of the user created/modified maps are ordinary, but many are extraordinary. A few are breathtakingly superb.

I guess I may have to break down and order a copy of Raven Shield. Haven't been around much the last week, and we have been doing OFP/ARMA/SWAT3 lately, but a return to Clancy Land isn't out of the question Recluse

People who tried SWAT4 and didn't like it, haven't really played with me much, SWAT, played the right way, is probably the most realistic, tactical experience out there... of course it takes self discipline, control, and extra learning. (My SWAT article at http://www.gettacticaldammit.com), proper stacks, going in by the numbers, covering your zone... 1 man screw up the team is usually dead. lol, But I can see how some...many... don't like the SWAT series.

I admire the simulation of authentic SWAT/police tactics, like not indiscriminately wasting "perps." But that takes all the fun out of it. As a boy I played "soldier" frequently. I never played "cop." I want to kill the bad guys; I don't want to arrest them. Believe it or not, though, I still have SWAT 4 (uninstalled)

I'll get steam but the only only one that I play is RS. I'll make sure to join the group.
