This show is held at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, AK, which just recently got some Raptors assigned to it. The weather was not the best, but it was still a fun show.

#1 Canadian Hornet on static display

#2 A parked Raptor across one of the runways

#3 C-17 Air Drop

#4 Real paratroopers from nearby Fort Richardson

#5 A Black Hawk leaving in a hurry

#6 A C-130 coming in for a landing

#7 A B-25 with a T-6 in the background

#8 A P-51 painted up in all yellow, appropriately named "Ole Yeller"

And a few more:

#9 An F-16 with vapor

#10 The same F-16 doing a photo pass

#11 A Raptor, right after takeoff

#12 The Raptor with weapons bays open, showing some dummy AIM-9s

#13 Raptor high-speed pass

#14 The Raptor with Ole Yeller in the Heritage Flight

#15 The Heritage Flight from below

#16 Thunderbird 5 taking off

#17 Thunderbird knife-edge pass

#18 She's part of the Thunderbird ground crew, and was looking at the formations through this mirror thing. I was trying to get a shot of her looking through it, but wasn't fast enough. I still thought the image turned out OK though.

Great shots Ken, especially 2 and 11.

Hmmmm, I wonder what that mirror thing is? Looks like it's cracked.

nice shots Ken, I love #6! Great prop blur and the back ground is really sweet. Did you go up there just for the show or for family and show?

Raptors and C-17s at Elmendorf now, that would be a fun base to visit...

Fantastic shots, Ken!

The mirror is used to indicate show center for TBird #1 as he repositions the formation.

Oh, and it looks like that lady is a flight doc, based on the wings she's wearing.

Vienna, 2nd rock left.
Steve, do they never get confused by optical equipment reflecting the light then? Interesting anyway, I didn't know that.

Thanks everyone!

Steve, thanks for the info. It was overcast so that must be why she switched over to using a light at one point.

Great touch using the heliograph mirror to bring T1 in on show center. Pity our Docs don't look like that though! Nice photos, the Raptor looks huge compared to our newest toy.

Really great work there. I love the Alaskan scenery. Thanks for sharing them!

I was surprised to see the P-51 with Bob Hoover's name. I knew his pilot's license was withheld.

I found this on wikipedia.
 Quote:
Hoover's P-51 Mustang, "Ole Yeller," is currently still flying out of the Legacy Flight Museum (http://www.legacyflightmuseum.com/) in Rexburg, Idaho. Ole Yeller continues to perform in airshows around the country, flown by John Bagley of Rexburg, Idaho, and can frequently be seen flying around the Rexburg air space on Saturday mornings.

Glad to know that Bob's Show is going on. I saw Bob perform at the Latrobe airshow in PA back in the late 70's.

Saw him many times as well, back then it was the "Rockwell" yellow P-51. He also did his famous routine in the Aerocommander, engine out stuff, the works.

Ken, great work fella!

I love the back drop so No.'s 2 and 6 jump out immediately, lovely shots. Number 13 is a classic F-22 topside and well executed. And finally, 14 is superb too; sharp and dynamic. Great set of shots.
