Hello guys,just got back from the non event of the year!! Sat on my hands from thursday evening until monday lunchtime in the Medical Centre also known as the "Peanut" a B2 hanger tho I did pop outside friday afternoon to watch the Raptor go through its paces.WOW!! What a display,absolutely MEGA IMPRESSIVE :()
We treated 96 visitors to the center over the 5 day period all minor cases thankfully and that was without the general public,an estimated 250 to 300 thousand,gulp!
One of the main reasons the show was a no go was the amount of water that sat on the surface failing to drain away not only on site but most importantly the parking areas in the serounding fields.The Friends of RIAT who parked up Friday for the arrivals still had cars waiting to be pulled out of the muddy fields monday lunchtime when we left.Not safe to have potentially ill people (diabetics angina etc) stuck in cars all weekend unable to be reached and treated
