You can always use the Bugs Bunny genie. He's safe.

Oh nevermind

1. I wish my son didn't have Asthma

Can't think of anything else original. Sure i'd like to have a career and be happy and all that other stuff too. The one above though it kills me seeing my son suffer.

That sucks David. But sometimes kids outgrow asthma. Do they know what triggers it?

I had it bad as a kid. Mine was almost all allergy driven. We just didn't know it. I was deathly allergic to wool and my parents had me under wool blankets for a long time. I don't remember all of it, thank god, but what I do recall is pretty bad.

One that stuck in my mind is when I was in Boy Scouts and we took this 4 day extended hike through the mountains. My asthma got me on a really steep section and I just couldn't shake it. I felt like such a wimp. Holding everybody up, lagging behind, struggling to catch my breath. When you're 12 years old, it's devastating to feel like that.

It was so bad they were talking about a medical evac. Didn't happen, but geez. You feel so weak, especially in the eyes of your friends.

It sticks with me to this day. Even when I got as physically fit as I was (not now) three years ago. I could have run straight up that mountain bank.

I still have asthma periodically, but a little inhaler takes care of it.

Best with your son.

Change of weather and a short list of allergies. Sometimes the albuterol and pulmicort doesn't do the trick and it's off to hospital.

They say after 6 if he hasn't outgrown it then he won't. He's 7 now.

I've never known anyone with Asthma (if they did i never saw inhaler) so i had to take a crash course once i found out he had it. He's learning how to take the inhaler himself now since previously he was using a nebulizer.

Hang in there. Be a good advocate for your son, and remember: Doctors don't know everything. So you question everything.

He's lucky to have a dad like you.

If you have time, read the Azazel stories by Asimov - Azazel is a small demon / alien that also grants wishes. However, all wishes end up unexpected.

Anyway, three wishes... they have to be personal and not too abstract (i.e. world peace, cure for cancer are out of the question)...
Well, a good health and long life for me and the people around me - but is that one, two or four wishes already? Enough money to live a luxurious life. And maybe a little wisdom.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

(If wishes must be selfish)

1) I want to have twenty-two US dollars in my pocket at all times. If I pull money out of my pocket, more will magically appear to make twenty-two dollars. If the wish gets wonky and turns it all into nickels, I think I can handle the weight. Or make sure I only have one smallish pocket.

2) Locator ability. I want to be able to locate within five inches any object or living person I need to find by description. Car keys, my wife's ring, or my wife when we are separated in the mall.

3) Immune from illness or injury until I am 121 years old.
