I was hoping for something on the order of the Totalwar games structure with resource building and strategic moves that are turn based, but then real time sea battles where one has direct tactical ship and fleet control.

Those screenies do seem to give the impression that you have some control in real time over specific ships that you select--maybe on the order of how one was supposed to control the ship battles in AOS II--only with ship functions that actually work this time. (Half the time they didn't in AOS II)

I guess I don't have a complete handle on the gameplay structure from their brief discriptions to really understand exactly how it will work.
