Hey Vikingo, rpt's mission pack plus the campaign will keep you busy for a looong time And I've read there are more missions in the works too.. I got a question for all, I'm not sure if it's just me but, isn't the Canberra flight model weird? (Hard Settings) When I give full rudder, I can go almost completely sideways, and fly like that for a long time, and the stall speed is non existing for me.. it just feels like some of the Helicopter FM got mixed up or something..?

This is a great mod and a worthy successor to the original Falklands mod a few years back. Thanks to all involved. I just landed from a night SHAR mission which kept me on my toes.

Heretic,
I get the refly problem too. My solution if I want to refly a mission is to press esc at the de-briefing screen, go to options and change start position to in air. Then you will return to the debrief and can press refly without crashing.

For 1 mission you have to start in the air & return to the carrier. As long as you remember to change it back to runway starts you're OK for the rest of the campaign. Just did it myself.

This mod is way beyond awesome! Thanks to Kesselbrut and everyone involved! I have a few complaints, though... I know the mod was optimised for SFP1 and may not be fully compatible with Wings over Europe but so far it has worked allright for me, except for a couple of issues: first, the Argentinian bases in the mainland do not seem to appear, when I set "mission start" for "runway" and fly for Argentina, my plane explodes on the ground as soon as mission begins. Runways and facilities in mainland Argentina do not seem to be there at all. Also, the Super Etendard radar doesn't seem to be working - I think the Readme specified something related to this. Can it be fixed? I can't imagine flying the SuE without A-G radar for anti-ship missions, how on Earth am I going to set up, lock and fire my Exocets? Anyway, that being said, let me thank and congratulate everyone who made this amazing mod possible.

Also, the Super Etendard radar doesn't seem to be working - I think the Readme specified something related to this. Can it be fixed? I can't imagine flying the SuE without A-G radar for anti-ship missions, how on Earth am I going to set up, lock and fire my Exocets? To get radar on the Super Etendard, open the file SEtendard.ini in Objects/Aircraft/SEtendard with a text editor. Change the lines AvionicsDLL=Avionics70.dll AvionicsDataFilename=SUE_AVIONICS.INI to AvionicsDLL=Avionics60.dll AvionicsDataFilename=SEtendard_AVIONICS.INI and save the file. The radar should now work normally. The price you pay for this is that the HUD will no longer work (i.e. there are no airspeed and altitude readouts or pitch ladder etc.), you only have a simple gunsight, and no CCIP. But if you're mainly using the Super Etendard for anti-ship with Exocets then these aren't too important. Note that you don't need radar at all to use the Exocet since you don't lock targets for it with the radar - the missile just homes on your currently selected ground target. But I find using the radar anyway to find the task forces adds greatly to the immersion, and don't really miss the HUD features.

[Cross-posted from CombatAce forums.] First let me say that I am absolutely blown away by the Falklands mod - the attention to detail is just superb. Many thanks to the mod team! However, I have turned up a couple of minor bugs. The first concerns the drop-tanks for the Mirage III: the campaign supply and loadouts are set up for non-camo'ed tanks, but the model is set for those with camo, so you can't load drop-tanks in the campaign. Easy fix - open MirageIIIEA_DATA.INI, find the entries with M3_RP1700C and change them to M3E_RP1700. The second concerns campaign target selection: flying Harrier GR3s for No 1 Squadron RAF in the campaign, I have been assigned targets in the British navy amphibious group. The ships in this group also opened fire on me, so this group seems to be treated as an enemy force (i.e. Argentinean). I think the problem is that it lies on the Argentinean side of the front-line - see below. Also, Port Howard is also set as being British-held at the start of the campaign. I know an SAS patrol set up an observation post here, but still, is this right? It has a AAA position and a supply dump (which I was assigned to bomb as Argentina), which seem unlikely to correspond to just an SAS patrol. Should it be Argentinean-held instead?

Sweet, thanks Piett, A-G radar on SuE is working now By the way, is there any way to lock a ground target from beyond visual range? Regarding my other question, here are some shots to explain myself better: As you can see, no runway, taxiways, tarmac or facilities on airbases in mainland Argentina (Rio Gallegos if I'm not mistaken); only a big muddy spot with a jeep and a single anti-aircraft gun emplacement: Am I missing something here? Also, the airport near Port Stanley looks, well... funny: Airfields in the Falklands themselves, such as the ones near Goose Green and Pebble Island, seem to look OK, though...
