Okay you lot... I'm here to spread the word (to those who might have missed it) about a little show called 'Spaced'. It is a brilliant comedy series from the team that brought you Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and the DVDs will finally hit the US on July 22nd.

 Quote:
“Spaced is too smart, too entertaining, and too hilarious for American television. When Americans get a glimpse of this mind-blowing show, they will take to the streets, demanding a reason as to why they've been deprived of Spaced pleasure for so long.” - Mike White (Freaks and Geeks, School of Rock)

Indeed.

"Shaun of the Dead."

I have GOT to somehow work that into my next trial with a Shaun in it.

It is easily my favorite Brit comedy to date. Though I already have the UK version of this release, I will be buying the US release. \:\)

I watched a bit on the Youtube link (1.2.2) and I like it. I loved the reference to Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I'll have to check this out further.

Spaced is full of movie references - like everything by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost!

Brits, you can get every episode of Spaced free from Channel 4 on Demand. Downloadable .wmv format with some proprietry Windows DRM half-baked in so you can only watch it for a few days after downloading, and then on Windows Media Player 10 or the built-in 4oD media player. There are workarounds for that though.

Sadly, most people in the courtroom would have no idea what you were talking about. ;\)
