I think I'll check out this "Spaced" show. I admit that British sci-fi has never really been my cup of tea but I love several of their classic comedy shows like Monty Python and Blackadder.

No it's because I realize that everyone has different tastes and it makes no sense to argue over those subjective preferences. A lesson you don't seem to have learned.

Subjective preference is just as legitimate of an argument point as anything. Hell, it is even more so due to the fact that opinion is always changing.

That is your lesson for the day. \:\)

What I think Colt was trying to say is that it can be pointless at times for people to argue about which show was better or which show had better writing or better stories because its all so subjective. I've met people who have told me that they think BSG is a terrible show and while I am curious to find out their reasons for believing that way, I also dont try to come up with counter-arguements to try and change their mind. \:\)

RB you remind me of my grandfather...always right in his own mind...which is fine...until you start imposing that skewed frame of reference on your interactions with others...but for the sake of re-railing this thread...(you might want to save this for future reference)...

Razorback, you are absolutely right, my taste in all things is crap next to the illuminating presence of your distinguished pallet.
