Don't' worry you will pay the tax one way or the other. In Texas, you can transfer the license plate too, which will save a little money. In Louisiana forget that. It's all about the money. Florida, I don't know. Make sure he gets the title notarized though as it will help you in the titling process. In Texas, no notary, Louisiana you can guess and I bet Florida would be the same.

Here is my bike, a candy apple red 2007 Star V-Star 1300.  Yamaha makes them, but they market the bikes under the Star name. Like Polaris does their Victory Motorcycles.
1304cc, fuel injected, belt drive. Lovely smooth, it has lots of power. My first tank through I got 43 Mpg. Should get near 50, as a lot of those miles were with the Wifey on the backseat....

Father in Law bought a really clean, as in looks new, 2001 HD Roadking Trike conversion.
I call this the ChromeMonster as it has one color that you can see. Chrome. The green is the color in your eyes reflected off the chrome.
This bad boy will haul donkey even with that extra wheel. Runs fabulous.

Now Bill, true nirvana can not be reached until you get your wife her own bike. Then it makes it a lot of fun.

Great looking bikes, Bill.

But hey, don't tell the Mrs. she's dragging down your gas mileage!

Lol does anyone else see the monumental disconnect between the stereotype of us geeks playing video games and reality? Who knew we were a bunch of badass bikers!!

Yup frame fully polished, rims powdercoated, undertail kit, fender eliminator, exhaust...not really sure, I think it's yoshi but previuos owner either ditched the nameplate on it or it fell off.
