Look Deanna was supposed to get resurrected, and then we learn that the post-resurrection ritual with the chicks is for there to be a group shower where they bathe the newborn. And there's bubbles...but not so many that you can't see everything.

How about the scene where the "6" on the basestar tells the centurions to escort Cavil off the ship and then you see a second of doubt and dread on her face and then she says "please"? It thought it was something that could be very easily missed but its also something significant IMHO Yep next weeks should be good. Tonights was good but i do feel bad for...

did anyone else see the star trek reference. I must have missed it. What was it? What makes you say that every week someone will die? I really doubt that a supporting or minor character is going to die every week this season. In fact, none died in the first two episodes (not including cylons since they come back).

I so hope RDM doesn't pull a 'Sopranos'. In his blog he voiced his admiration for that series finale. Man, this week's episode was a tough one, especially at the end. I just wish the network wouldn't show spoilers such as these in those 'next week' previews. Well, Kara sure got her Ahab moments..... I too think this season will be the best one yet. I suspect there won't be any stand-alone episodes la "black market" since it would be kinda moot to try to appeal to "newcomers" and casual viewers in the very last season.

RDM has said there will be no stand-alone episodes. I also think he may very well give us a Sopranos style ending. Not exactly like that show ended but he could give us no resolution.
For example:
The humans and cylons find Earth and the planet has life on it but man has long ago been wiped out. The two sides settle on the planet and begin to rebuild their world. We then cut to 50-years in the future. Earth is now populated by half-million humans and they have suppressed the ability of the cylons to resurrect. Secretly, the cylons have started to develop the technology to do just that. The humans discover this and warn the cylon territories that such action will meet with hostile reaction. In the final sequence, the human attack on the cylon territories begins. As cylons are wiped out, we see a group of them arguing over what to do. One of them dominates the discussion and declares that the humans must pay for this war and that it is time they release God's vengeance.
At that point, missile silos open up and nuclear missiles are fired on the human territories. As the missiles enter space and then re-enter the atmosphere, we hear the voice of the cylon god from Razor saying:
"All this has happened before and will happen again... and again, again, again, again..." and the show cuts to black.

Razor, I mean no disrespect at all, but I hope you're wrong with your example. Somehow I feel that would be a huge letdown after four years of anticipation. I'd like to have more backstory and an explanation for the "all has happened before and will happen again" line, as well as fate of the 13th tribe. I could live with RDM "fading" out of the story at some point, but not without some major explaining. It might have worked with the Sopranos (a story that took place in New Jersey/ New York, in our universe, our time, without "mystical" backstory), but since we're (still) in some sort of different universe (at least until they find Earth ) it wouldn't work for me in this case. But I'm sure RDM is aware of that, and I don't see him as the kind of guy who would "rip off" another writer's idea, regardless of how much he wanted to have that idea himself. So, I do hope he gives us at least some form of resolution that wouldn't leave the audience dumbfounded (he still has to worry about DVD/ BR sales after all ). Having been browsing the official SciFi boards (only superficially, cause they tend to give me a headache ), I noticed some keep on bringing up the "Ships of Light" from TOS. Those were discussed back during the final episodes of Season 3. Well, there was some bright light when Kara's Viper blew up in "Maelstrom". Anyone think that RDM incorporated this storyline from TOS (IIRC, back then Apollo died and was resurrected by these Alien "beings of light", given a brand new Viper and shown the way to Earth)? But wouldn't that break the "no Aliens rule" for the BSG universe?

I was really surprised this happened but I wasn't able to sleep for about an hour after I went to bed. That ending disturbed me that much. It disturbed me not just because of the way Callie died but also how Tory went totally ape-#%&*$# on her when you thought that she was actually going to be benevolent.

Yeah... though, it adds an interesting dynamic to that character now. Are we supposed to later judge a redeeming action and weigh it against that action, or will we now see a steady change that leads to a split within the F5? I am very intrigued.
